This onetime kindergarten teacher
knows how to passionately teach art quilting!
Dr. Susan Kruszynski’s business, Quilting Fabrics in Time, showcases landscape art quilts. Landscape quilting falls under the “art quilt” category, where natural landscape forms are layered on a fabric background by appliquéing lots of other fabric pieces. With a background as a long-time quilter, she began landscape fabric design in 2014.
Susan currently divides her time between creating original fabric landscape art quilt designs, teaching the art of quilted fabric landscaping in classes around the state of Michigan, marketing fabric art at shows, and just recently retired as an adjunct of reading at Muskegon Community College with a PhD in Education. Look for her first book called Art Quilts Made Easy Mini Book in October of 2021. A native of Michigan, her works are often inspired by the trees and woodlands along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
